What materials do you use?

We use high-quality vegan leather, natural fibers like linen and cotton canvas, and solid brass or antique gold hardware. We choose materials that look beautiful, hold up over time, and don't compromise on our values. No animal leather, ever.

How long does shipping take?

Standard shipping takes 3–5 business days within the US and UK. Need it sooner? Express shipping options are available at checkout. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.

What is your return policy?

We offer free returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original condition with tags still attached. To start a return, just email us at hello@alderandthread.com with your order number and we'll take it from there.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We currently ship to the US and UK. We're working on expanding to more countries soon — sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when we do.

How do I care for my bag?

A little goes a long way. Wipe your bag down with a slightly damp cloth to remove everyday dirt, and let it air dry naturally. Store it stuffed with tissue paper to help it keep its shape, and keep it out of direct sunlight when not in use. Treat it well and it'll last for years.

Are your products sustainable?

Sustainability is something we think about deeply. We prioritize quality over quantity — because a bag you love and keep for years is always better than one you replace every season. We use eco-conscious materials wherever possible, work with small-batch makers to reduce waste, and are always looking for ways to do better. It's a journey, and we're committed to it.
